**Public Service Announcement**
City Public Works Staff will be hydrant flushing Tuesday, April 15-Thursday, April 17.
• The city flushes the hydrants as an annual maintenance function to ensure the water hydrants operation as well as remove the settled minerals in the water mains to improve the quality of the water.
• Residents may experience brief periods of a reduction in water pressure.
• Residents may experience cloudy/discolored water in their home. If this happens, we encourage them to run the water for a brief period of time to clear it out.
• The water cloudiness/discoloration comes from stirring up the sediment of minerals and putting them into a suspended state in the water which allows them to be flushed out of the water mains.
